EXERCISE STRESS ECHOCARDIOGRAPHIC

This examination utilizes ultrasound to compare heart contraction before and after exercise, assessing images of cardiac structures, blood flow, and the velocities of blood passage through the heart. The procedure involves acquiring and storing images at rest, followed by a treadmill stress test with a protocol gradually increasing speed and incline. After exercise, the patient quickly lies down for imaging of the heart at maximum activity. Throughout the exercise, the patient is closely monitored, including electrocardiogram and blood pressure monitoring to ensure safety and accuracy of the evaluation.
